For all other services, I charge for materials plus by an hourly rate. I charge for all time, including time to pick up the materials needed for the job. Depending on the difficulty and specialization of the work, I charge anywhere from $40 to $65 per man hour. For smaller projects I will charge a higher hourly rate, since there is more planning, service, etc for a smaller project. This time diminishes the larger the project hence the hourly rate drops.

One time jobs:

If someone wants something done just once and is not a regular customer, say their grass is really high and they want it cut, or they have one pile they need taken away- you don’t want to deal with this, its not worth your time, so charge accordingly.

For example, if someone calls me and says they want their lawn cut once, and I would normally charge $40 for it- if it is out of the way I might charge as much as $100 for it. Make it worth your time.
